And, the relationship between the elite and the masses is also still the same: The elite are aliens who know the truth about reality, whereas the masses are completely oblivious to all of this. The only major difference between then and now is that now, the elite do not literally call themselves «god-kings.»
There may be more technology today than in the past, but amazingly, people's awareness about what actually exists is still the exact same: People still base reality upon what they are told
by the elite. If I traveled back in time and told the ancient people that their god-king was, in fact, an alien, they would laugh at me because their worldview was solely based off of what their god-king told them. And, unfortunately, it is the exact same case with you guys. So, if you are wondering how ignorant people were back then, you need not wonder because times have not changed. Earth's knowledge-ignorance control pyramid is still in full effect.
If the elite did not keep knowledge from you, then they wouldn't even be «elite» in the first place. Knowledge is power, and the elite have more power than you because they have more knowledge than you, and desire to keep the relationship that way.
So, the elite are the only ones who need to keep the truth suppressed, and the masses, on the other hand, should want to be freed from the elite's control. It is therefore surprising to (and frustrating for) Truthists when the common man decides to partner up with the elite and defend belief systems such as science. By defending science, the common man thinks that he is being some kind of noble defender of logic, reason, and reality, when in fact, he is just being a good little robot for the elite. He's not defending the truth, he's simply preserving the elite's control and his own enslavement.
To give you some perspective on all of this, an alien race that viewed humanity back in 3000 BC would see no significant difference from 2012 AD. Yeah, they would see that we have more technology now. But, they would be rather amused at the fact that humanity still believed they were alone in the universe. The aliens would then quickly realize that in order for humanity to still have such a childish worldview, they were being controlled by some kind of overlord who had imposed a grossly manipulative and oppressive belief system upon them.
Thus, as you can see, the crux of the problem is that people do not think for themselves. When all is said and done, people end up succumbing to official authority. So, if the government, science, or insert religion here says that aliens do not exist, then, lo and behold, people will believe that aliens do not exist. However, you need not be a slave to any of Earth's grossly manipulative and oppressive belief systems. All you have to do is think for yourself.

NASA has doctored all of the photos of the face on Mars, especially the most recent ones. The photo below was taken by Viking 1 on July 25, 1976 (allegedly--after all, NASA could be lying), and was the first photo of the face that NASA released to the public.
Furthermore, it's not as if NASA and the elite are the only ones who know that there is a face on Mars. Any random human being could know such a thing if they were told about it by an alien. The «Race for the Moon» comic book that was published in September of 1958 (18 years before 1976, mind you) featured a story entitled «The Face on Mars,» which was about an international team of astronauts who go to Mars and discover a carving of a Martian face that is as big as a mountain. Pages from the comic book are shown below.

One ultra-important issue that religions attempt to skirt around, and that science all-out ignores, is the concept of intentional deception. Deception is not something that sits idle in this universe, and it is the modus operandi of the Reptilians and other highly intelligent, power-hungry beings. Yet, the scientific method does not take into account the concept of intentional deception.
The Reptilians created all of Earth's religions, as well as science. And now, they like to pit religion and science against each other. Unfortunately, though, atheists are actually foolish enough to think that science is on their side. For someone to use such a mainstream, public-sanctioned, government-sponsored, corporate-sponsored paradigm such as science in order to discover the actual, raw truth about reality is quite laughable, and shows that he or she is ignoring the concept of intentional deception (and, ignoring the concept of intentional deception is, in fact,
selective reasoning). Real truth seekers are aware that the ruling elite have their own ulterior motives, and thus we incorporate that important fact into our reasoning. In contrast, science tries to act as if one can seek the truth without needing to worry about the ruling elite's influence on the world or about the legitimacy of mainstream information. According to science, intentional deception does not exist, conspiracies do not exist, aliens do not exist, and the ruling elite are benevolent (and, of course, this is because the Reptilians are the very ones who created science in the first place).
Ironically, people who call themselves «skeptics» are not really skeptics. Rather, they are only selective skeptics. This is because they may be skeptical about fringe ideas, but they are never skeptical about science or about mainstream news from the mass media. This is due to the fact that human beings make the grand mistake of correlating credibility with power. Thus, since the Reptilians literally have all the power in the world, their implanted belief systems have the undeserved credibility that comes along with such power.
As for your own encounter with intentional deception, one day, probably years ago, you decided that you would adopt a belief system (be it atheism or a specific religion), without even suspecting for a second that you were being intentionally deceived. You were unaware that your adopted belief system was a trap, waiting for you to walk right into it. Now, confronted with the truth, you are suffering from cognitive dissonance and paradigm paralysis.

Science's Pink Elephant in the Living Room
In the scientific community, the concept of government secrets is taboo, and is the «pink elephant in the living room» that scientists and atheists refuse to acknowledge. Scientists and atheists do not want to admit such a simple and obvious fact: If all government secrets were exposed today, then all of the truth about reality would finally be revealed--and thus, society would fall apart, science would fall apart, all religions would fall apart, the mass media would fall apart, and there would be no more need for websites such as this.
